A fundamental component of the Social Impact Assessment is the Social Management Plan, the instrument that guarantee free exercise of the individual and collective rights of the inhabitant´s within the influence area of projects related to renewable energies.

The most important outcome from the 2014 Energy Reform was the introduction of the Social Impact Assessment (SIA) process and the Indigenous Consultation as a subsidiary law.
